South Bengal Disable Welfare Society: A Name That Stands Like a Shadow Beside You
Since 2018, the South Bengal Disable Welfare Society has been tirelessly working to bring smiles to the faces of underprivileged persons with disabilities in South Bengal. The organization is led by renowned journalist, human rights activist, and humanitarian personality Khwaja Masum Bellah Kausarey, the honorable chairman. His proper guidance, sincerity, and sense of responsibility toward society have been driving the organization forward. At the same time, the Executive Director Md. Rakib Hossain has been efficiently and devotedly managing field-level operations.
Since its inception, the organization has been working to improve the quality of life of disabled people living in various districts, sub-districts, and remote villages of the southern region. From distributing wheelchairs, crutches, warm clothes, and educational materials to organizing awareness campaigns, training programs, and rehabilitation services — they are actively involved in all these vital activities.
One of the main goals of the organization is to break the existing negative perception toward people with disabilities and to establish them as active, self-reliant, and dignified members of society.
Their core philosophy is: “Persons with disabilities are not a burden; within them lie talents, dreams, and possibilities waiting to flourish.”
Through the relentless efforts of enlightened individuals like Khwaja Masum Bellah Kausarey and Md. Rakib Hossain, this organization is becoming not just a name but a beacon of hope for thousands of neglected lives.
