Violence against women in Bangladesh is rising, and the numbers are heartbreaking.

In March 2025, there were 442 incidents of violence. Among them, 163 women were raped and 125 of them were under 18. Seeing these terrible numbers, Bangladesh Mahila Parishad has called for fast justice, honest information, discipline in schools and colleges, and media freedom to stop this crisis. The government also runs a free 24/7 helpline, 109, to support women and children in crisis. But laws and systems alone are not enough.
